I've been attempting to branch out into more artistic, indie (if you will) photography for musicians and artists lately... in developing my style, this is the brand of photography I've been leaning towards lately. I love people and I love photographing them, and if I start a part-time business, I would garner more towards that side of the industry. So... thanks to the patience and amazing modeling skills of my good friend Sarah Guy, here's a few results from a photoshoot I had with this amazing singer/songwriter. Mark my words: she'll be famous someday. Let's hope she gets her MySpace up and running soon. ;)

I haven't seen her in three months. But allow me to introduce one of my best, closest, craziest friends. :)

Summer is simmering to a boil here in Northwest Ohio... and with its peak in temperatures and humidity has come a sparse amount of thunderstorms. While the air was cool after the rain this afternoon, I grabbed a few shots.

And then... and orchestral excerpt I'm attempting to master in preparation for an upcoming audition. *crosses fingers* I do love Debussy, though. :)

Whoops. I think I must have fallen behind somehow...

But my camera and I made up today whilst bonding on the campus of my school, where I took a quick trip to grab some book titles with my best friend this afternoon. It was an absolutely beautiful day, and I was able to grab a few shots. My school may not be Princeton or Juilliard, but it is quite lovely to roam on... I will give it that. ;)

3 harpists + 1 violinist = one very entertaining coffee outing. ;)

I am behind... but whatever. ;) Here's some (slightly) random photos of two of my mother's recent culinary escapades... yum.
